High Level Martial Arts Coaching

We offer classes in Muay Thai, Brazilian jiu jitsu and MMA (mixed martial arts). The academy is open 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday to cater to all your training needs. muay thai

Muay Thai is a traditional martial art from Thailand and a modern combat sport. Focusing on stand up striking, the art incorporates punches, kicks, knees, elbows and various throwing techniques into a devastating package.

A typical class involves skipping, shadow boxing, heavy bag work, drills, padwork. Sparring and clinch are also available to advanced students.

We have a number of active fighters at the gym who have competed in both the UK and Thailand and our members regularly enter interclubs.


Jiu Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport Focusing on grappling and ground fighting, it employs a vast array of techniques that include sweeps, reversals, transitions, counters, escapes and pins the ultimate goal of which is to secure a submission that the opponent can’t escape which leads them to submit or else suffer severe injury or unconsciousness.

A typical class involves a warm up based around the fundamental movement patterns that are used in BJJ, drills of particular techniques or scenarios and then finally free sparring.


MMA

Mixed martial arts (MMA), also known as cage fighting, is a full-contact combat sport that allows striking and grappling, both standing and on the ground, using techniques from various combat sports and martial arts. MMA is a combat sport in which two competitors attempt to achieve dominance over one another by utilising three general tactics: striking, finishing holds, and control. The rules allow the combatants to use a variety of martial arts techniques including punches, kicks, joint-locks, chokes, takedowns and throws.

Nick is an excellent teacher with a methodical style. I think he teaches some of the most authentic Muay Thai that I have experienced. I am always learning important lessons that extend way beyond the techniques that we are learning in class. If you pay attention you will get a lot out of him.
